Kaleatha attended Pompano Beach High School where she was enrolled in their Magnet Program. She was a member of the band and played three instruments. Kaleatha attended Florida Memorial University, graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She pursued a Master’s Degree of Education in Counselor Education for Rehabilitation.

After college, Kaleatha worked for the State of Florida as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. She worked for OIC of Florida as a Job Coach and Case Manager. She was passionate about helping others including helping to rehabilitate inmates in the Florida Prison System.

Kaleatha was an avid traveler and she loved visiting different countries, learning about cultures and meeting new people. She had one brother Anthony McCutcheon
