Lula Wimberly Harris born in Cochran Georgia. She received her education at Tinley Chapel School in Pocomoke, Maryland and Blanche Ely High School. Lula moved to Pompano in the late fifties.

Lula became a member of Antioch Missionary Church, she was a member of the Gospel Choir and the Mission Dep.

Lula was employed with the city of Deerfield Beach for six years as a crossing guard.

Lula was married to Willie C. Jackson for thirty years. Lula had three stepsisters, five sisters and five brothers
